In my lifetime, I have read the bible 2 times cover to cover. I have also read the new testament at least 100 times. I am still interested in trying your method of reading the bible in a year.
I hope it works for you and is a blessing to you!
Thank you Lori. I hope you have a blessed year.
THANK YOU so much for doing this! I have been looking for a simple way to read the bible in a year. As you pointed out, there are several plans out there but they are not based on the Catholic bible. Kuddos for creating and posting this! NOW I am inspired to start on this journey…. :)
Wonderful! God bless you and guide you and protect you always!
I have read the Bible in a year before. The plan I used was for the protestant Bible, therefore I didn’t actually read the entire Bible. I look forward to reading this wonderful book, that was God inspired and beautifully written. It’s God’s love letter to all of us.
Thanks for doing this! I’ll get started on Jan. 1.
I’ve been wanting to read the bible in a year forever and am starting today, 1-1-11…..hope I can make it through. Thank you for doing this. This is the easiest (and nearly the only) one I’ve found. Happy New year
Happy New Year to each of you! I’m hopeful that even if you find yourself missing days here & there, it is set up so you can keep track of where you were, and simply pick up where you left off. It really doesn’t matter if you finish December 31 or in a year-and-a-half. I will be praying for all of us … persevere and be blessed!
This is just what I was looking for. I have read the Catholic NAB and all the extra pages before cover to cover. (1 year and 3 months) The 2nd time I read it using a protestant 6 day a week plan. (I used the 7th for our extra books.) I found it MUCH easier, because they didn’t have it set up cover to cover, but like yours. Thanks for taking the time to put this down for the rest of us. You have been blessed with a gift/skill. Thanks for sharing. I know the more this is brings people closer to God, the bigger the crown your going to get. I have already started reading. Have a great year! :)
Renee
This Bible reading plan looks perfect for me. Thank you. I also like that the veritasbible.com site is Catholic.
Thanks for this Lori. I never realized I was reading a non-Catholic 1 year bible plan. Good thing I found you. Pls. check out my website healwithgrace.blogspot.com for prayers and ebooks. God bless and take care!
Hi Lori, I linked to your site because I think it is extremely important, so keep up the good work ! I am happy to help spread the word on my blog :) I also love love love your inspirational pictures .
I will be starting your Bible reading study….Joyce
Thanks for the method presented here. Looking forward to continuing with reading the Bible in a year along with my Catechism and daily readings.
Thank you for an excellent reading plan for Catholic Bible readers. May the Good Lord Bless You
How do i keep track of where i am next time.
Hi malea – it will start to make sense as you go. For me, I started on a Saturday so every week, “Day 1” was Sat., “Day 2” was Sun., etc. Also, I set my homepage to whatever week I was on so as soon as I opened the internet in the morning, I was on the right page to do my reading. The next week, I set that week’s page as my new homepage. If you aren’t sure how to set something as your homepage let me know and I will help you!
Hi Lori,
Thank you for creating this catholic bible reading plan, now i can discipline myself to reading my bible, God Bless
Hi Rebecca – I can’t express how blessed I was both by creating this site, and then following the plan through for a year. There are times it’s hard to be focused, but persevere – it will be amazing!
Wow! I’ve only seen Bible in a year programs for Protestant versions! I’m pleased to have found this. I’ve newly discovered Catholocism, and wanted to find such a program as this. Thank you!
Joyce, I am so happy to hear from you! I hope you are as blessed by this as I have been. I am excited about your journey – welcome home to the Catholic Church! If you ever have questions or want a sounding board please feel free to e-mail me just to chat. God bless you! My e-mal: citizen1@mchsi.com
I started TODAY!
Thank you for creating this.
I’m very excited for you as you begin this journey! I k now how greatly I have been blessed, I pray you will be blessed even more!
Thanks for doing this! I have a Chronological Study Bible, but it’s a protestant bible and I had trouble figuring out where the extra books fit in the timeline. This is perfect.
